Northwest Passage Project, Nunavut
I was a member of the Northwest Passage Project, a National Science Foundation-supported research expedition to the Canadian Arctic archipelago. Our research aims were to study vital signs of a rapidly changing Arctic Ocean by collecting water, ice, and air samples to improve understanding of the effect of climate warming on the environment and biodiversity in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. I served as Arctic historian on the documentary produced about the expedition, Frozen Obsession.
